The No Money Blues




One day you get home after working a long hard week. You notice your bills are piling, your car need tires and you have no money to enjoy your weekend. This sucks, because you just got paid and after paying your mortgage, your car note and all your other main bills, you only have enough money to buy food and to pay back the $50 you borrowed last week for gas. Sounds familiar? Well this is a growing story for allot of people in the world today. Luckily some people can afford to pay their mortgages in these bad economic times. So what do you do. How can you make some extra money? How can you save money? Poof......Start a home-based business.


So what is a home-based business?

A home based business is a business that is based out of your home. The business can be a business opportunity, franchise or a direct -sales business of any size, but if the center of operation is based in your home, then it is a home-based business.


What kind of business will it be?

Once you have made that decision that you want to become a home-based business owner, you have a a few questions to ask yourself.

There are two types of home-based businesses you can start. There are the businesses you can start from scratch or the businesses that you can buy or purchase. For the purpose of this blog, we will talk about the businesses that you can purchase or buy. These type of businesses are usually broken up into three categories which are franchise, direct-selling and business opportunities. We will focus on the directing selling home-based business model.


Direct Selling


Direct selling involves selling products or services to consumers in a person to person manner, instead of the retail store stationary location. Direct selling consist of two types: Single-level marketing and Multi-level marketing.


Single-level marketing consist of making money by buying products from a parent company and then selling those products directly to customers.


Multi-level marketing involves making money through single-level marketing and then by sponsoring new direct sellers.
