So what is a home-based business?
A home based business is a business that is based out of your home. The business can be a business opportunity, franchise or a direct -sales business of any size, but if the center of operation is based in your home, then it is a home-based business.

Once you have made that decision that you want to become a home-based business owner, you have a a few questions to ask yourself.

There are two types of home-based businesses you can start. There are the businesses you can start from scratch or the businesses that you can buy or purchase. For the purpose of this blog, we will talk about the businesses that you can purchase or buy. These type of businesses are usually broken up into three categories which are franchise, direct-selling and business opportunities. We will focus on the directing selling home-based business model.
Direct Selling
Direct selling involves selling products or services to consumers in a person to person manner, instead of the retail store stationary location. Direct selling consist of two types: Single-level marketing and Multi-level marketing.
Single-level marketing consist of making money by buying products from a parent company and then selling those products directly to customers.
Multi-level marketing involves making money through single-level marketing and then by sponsoring new direct sellers.
